What is a mobility class?

A mobility class helps your joints move through their full range with control. It mixes stretching, strength work and slow release, so you get looser and stronger at the same time. It suits stiff bodies at any age or level.

The name tells you what happens. You stretch the parts that get tight. You strengthen the muscles that hold you up. Then you release, with slower work to finish.

It borrows from both sides of what we teach. From yoga, the long stretches and the breath. From Pilates, the control and the core work.

A 3.30pm class suits people who work shifts, work from home or have a gap before the evening rush.

If you like long holds, try Yin yoga on Thursday evenings. Men who want the strength side should look at Healthy Back on Tuesdays. And if you are searching for stretch classes near Navan, we are about 20 minutes away, near Athboy. See all our classes for the full week.

What you get from Stretch, Strength & Release

  • Stretching for the parts that get tight from sitting.
  • Strength work for the muscles that hold you up.
  • Slow release to finish, so you leave calm.
  • More ease in everyday movement.
  • A midweek reset at a quiet time of day.

Is Stretch, Strength & Release suitable for beginners?

Yes. Everything is done at your own pace, with an easier option for each move. You do not need to be flexible or fit. If you feel stiff, you are in the right place.

I have enjoyed Fiona's class over the past 2 years. She brings a mix of gentle flow, stretching and relaxation time to her clases and varies this weekly. She is mindful of making the room space welcoming and calm for her clients and each person is made comfortable and invited to participate at their own pace and level of flexibility.
