Private yoga and Pilates classes, group bookings and gift vouchers
One-to-one and small-group sessions, hen parties, team and club sessions, and gift vouchers, from Grá Wellness in Athboy, Co. Meath. Tell Fiona what you have in mind and she will put it together.
What is a private yoga class?
A private yoga class is a session just for you, or for you and a few friends. Your teacher plans it around your body, your goals and your pace. It suits anyone who is new, nervous about joining a group, or wants one-to-one help.
We teach the same things in a private session as in our classes: yoga and mat Pilates, never machines. The difference is the attention. The whole session is yours.
What you can book
One-to-one sessions
Yoga or mat Pilates planned around you. Good if you are new and nervous about a group, getting back to exercise after a break, or want to work on balance, strength or flexibility.
Small groups
Bring a friend, your sisters or a few neighbours for a session of your own. Everyone moves at their own level, and nobody needs any experience.
A relaxed yoga class for the bride-to-be and her friends. Gentle, fun and suitable for people who have never done yoga.
Yoga or mat Pilates for sports teams, clubs and community groups. Good for strength, mobility and a proper stretch. For workplaces, see corporate wellness.
A thoughtful present for someone who keeps meaning to try yoga or Pilates. Tell Fiona who it is for and what you would like to give.
Where does a private or group session happen?
Fiona will suggest the best place for you. The Grá Wellness Studio outside Athboy has room for nine mats, and Athboy Community Centre for about fifteen. In summer, an outdoor session is possible too. Fiona sends directions when you book.
Prefer a regular class? See all our classes, or come along to one of our community events. For a longer treat, our day retreats at Killua Castle make a lovely morning away.
Questions about private and group sessions
How much is a private yoga class?
Prices are on request, because each session is planned around the person or the group. Message Fiona and she will send you the details.
Can I book a private mat Pilates session?
Yes. One-to-one and small-group sessions can be yoga or mat Pilates. We only teach Pilates on the mat, with no machines.
How do gift vouchers work?
Message Fiona with who the voucher is for and what you would like to give. She will sort out the details with you.
How many people can come to a group or hen session?
The studio outside Athboy has room for nine mats and Athboy Community Centre for about fifteen. For a bigger group, ask and Fiona will suggest what works.
None of us have done yoga before. Is that a problem?
Not at all. You do not need to be flexible, fit or experienced. Every session is pitched at the people in the room.
I have an injury. Is a private session a good idea?
Please tell Fiona about it before you book. Depending on your circumstances, you may need guidance or clearance from an appropriate healthcare professional before taking part.
