Restorative yoga workshop: two slow hours, once a month
Once a month, Fiona gives a Friday evening over to restorative yoga, from 7 to 9pm. You rest in supported shapes with bolsters and blankets, while the music and her voice help your body settle.
What is a restorative yoga workshop?
It is a long, slow session built around rest. Bolsters and blankets hold you in easy shapes, so you can stay a while and let go. Ours runs for two hours, once a month, on a Friday evening.
Two hours gives you time to arrive, slow right down and properly rest before you head home for the weekend.
What happens on the night
Fiona sets the pace and the music. She guides you from one supported shape to the next, with a little spoken word along the way. You stay in each shape for a while, and there is nothing to push or perfect.
Like all of Fiona's classes, it is not traditional. There is no chanting, the music matters, and it ends in stillness.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to slow down. It suits a busy week, a body that sits all day and anyone new to yoga, because there is nothing to keep up with.
You do not need to be flexible. If you have an injury or a health condition, message Fiona before you book. You may need clearance from an appropriate healthcare professional.
Want more rest in your week?
Restorative yoga is also one of our class styles, with its own page. For a weekly slow class, Yin Yoga runs on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm.
The workshop is one of our Let's Get Social events. It runs near Athboy, and Fiona sends directions when you book.
Questions people ask

Two hours, from 7 to 9pm on a Friday. It runs once a month.
How do I book?
On BookingHawk. You pay when you book, which holds your place. There are nine places.
Do I need to have done yoga before?
No. Restorative yoga is slow and supported, so there is nothing to keep up with. You do not need to be flexible.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in and bring a bottle of water. If you need to bring your own mat or anything else, Fiona will let you know when you book.
What is the difference between restorative and yin yoga?
Both are slow. In restorative yoga, props hold you so you can fully rest. In yin yoga, you hold longer stretches, find a comfortable edge and let go with the breath.

Please message Fiona before you book and tell her about anything that may affect you. You may need guidance or clearance from an appropriate healthcare professional.

Fiona's Restorative Yoga classes are a special experience. She holds a beautiful, safe space with her calming presence, clear guidance, carefully chosen music and spoken word which allows the body to completely relax and the nervous system to settle leaving me feeling totally chill. Love them!
From the second you walk in the door the relaxing smells, sounds, lighting and Fiona’s open welcome envelop you before class even begins. Such a safe, peaceful, personal space to have those couple of hours to relax in each week. As a newbie to Yoga. Yin and restorative yoga have been the best experience I’ve done for me. I’m only sorry I had not discovered it years ago. Thank you Fiona
